Facts updated 2026-09

Founded in 2012, Superbuy pioneered the reverse cross-border shopping model and has operated for more than 14 years, run by DOT Technology Hong Kong Limited. It acts as a one-stop China buying agent and international forwarding platform for shoppers outside mainland China, purchasing from Taobao, Tmall, 1688, JD and other Chinese marketplaces on request. Its better-known features are a lifetime waiver of basic purchasing-agent fees, free in-house appearance inspection with item photos on arrival, 90 days of free warehouse storage, and parcel consolidation with reinforced packaging to lower international shipping costs. Superbuy publishes pricing for a wide range of shipping lines covering more than 200 countries and regions, provides bilingual customer service, accepts multi-currency payments and handles the chain end to end from procurement and inspection to warehousing and delivery. The accompanying Superbuy Spreadsheet is a product-search tool that complements the platform.

What to weigh up

What works well

Lifetime waiver of basic purchasing-agent service fees.

Among the industry pioneers: operating since 2012, with stable, well-funded operations and a strong user reputation.

Reasonable exchange rate, with service fee pricing that compares well against most agents.

Unusually broad payment coverage, including credit and debit cards, Wise, UnionPay, bank transfer, Alipay, WeChat Pay and Bitcoin.

Free warehouse inspection with QC photos and 90 days of free storage, plus parcel consolidation to cut international shipping costs.

100+ shipping lines covering more than 200 countries and regions, with transparent published pricing and bilingual customer support.

What to check

International shipping is charged as a prepaid deposit based on estimated weight; the difference is refunded to your Superbuy balance after the parcel is weighed, not instantly to your payment method.

Optional services cost extra: second inspection about $1.00, product video about $3.23, live model try-on photos about $4.84, detailed inspection about $0.88 per item, ironing about $3.23 and wooden crate reinforcement about $40.38.

Once you choose shoe-box removal, tag removal or power-on testing, the item can no longer be returned to the seller.

Returns and exchanges are free only for the first one per month; from the second request onward the platform charges per item.

Second-hand platform orders carry a 20 RMB service fee per order and are not eligible for return or exchange, and the seller may delay shipment or change the price after payment.

Free storage runs 90 days; beyond roughly 180 days items may be treated as abandoned. Our fee figures date from September 2026 and should be re-checked at checkout.

Is Superbuy legit?

Superbuy is a legitimate, actively operating platform rather than a look-alike clone. It has run for more than 14 years and is one of the earliest reverse cross-border shopping services in China, operated by DOT Technology Hong Kong Limited. Public third-party traffic estimates put the site at roughly 2.6 to 2.75 million monthly visits, which places it among the industry leaders and makes it the second-ranked agent by traffic. New buyers can reasonably treat it as safe, while still reading the fee schedule and route restrictions before committing money to a large order.

Where Superbuy is popular

Traffic data indicates Superbuy's largest audiences are in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and France. That spread matches its shipping network: more than 100 international routes reaching over 200 countries and regions, with bilingual customer service so buyers who do not read Chinese can still resolve order problems.

Payment methods and transaction fees

Superbuy accepts a wider range of payment options than most agents we track. International credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Wise, UnionPay and bank transfers are supported, along with Alipay and WeChat Pay top-ups, and Superbuy is unusual in also accepting Bitcoin. Fees vary by method as of September 2026: Wise bank transfers come with a -3.13% adjustment, while credit card and Apple Pay top-ups add 3.94%. Alipay and WeChat Pay top-ups are free of service fees but can take one to 60 minutes to credit. Regional wallets and bank rails carry their own charges, for example Giropay-style local rails such as iDEAL and EPS at about 2% plus 0.3 EUR, Bancontact at 0.5% plus 0.3 EUR, BLIK at 2% plus 0.7 PLN, Kakao Pay and GCash at 2.7% plus $0.30, PIX at 2% plus $0.05, PayID at 2.9% plus $0.30, and MyBank at 1.5% plus 0.22 EUR for Italian cards. These figures change, so confirm the current rate on the top-up screen before you pay.

Value-added services and what they cost

Standard warehouse handling is included: arrival inspection plus three QC photos, 90 days of free storage and basic repacking. Everything beyond that is priced individually as of September 2026. Examples from the published schedule include a second inspection at about $1.00, detailed inspection at $0.88 per item, detailed photography at $0.48, product video at $3.23, live model try-on photos at $4.84, trimming loose threads at $0.80, removing product tags at $0.48, ironing at $3.23, vacuum compression bags at $2.74 each, stretched film at $0.64 per kg (capped around $3.23), corner protectors at $0.80 per kg (capped around $4.03), foldable shoe boxes at $0.80, and wooden crate reinforcement at $40.38. Storage extension is charged at roughly $1.61 per item per month, and returns or exchanges are free only for the first request per month, after which per-item charges apply. Two warnings matter here: once you approve shoe-box removal, tag removal or power-on testing, the item cannot be sent back to the seller, and consolidation adds options such as priority shipping and moisture-proof packing that are billed per parcel.

How to use Superbuy

  1. Step 1 — Pick items through the Superbuy Spreadsheet

Start with the Superbuy Spreadsheet to search and filter product listings from Chinese platforms, then compare prices, styles and sellers in one table. Most of the catalogue's usefulness comes from what real buyers share on YouTube and Reddit, so treat listings as leads rather than guarantees. Copy the links of the items you want and paste them into your Superbuy account to open the purchase page.

  2. Step 2 — Submit the order and pay

Choose colour, size and quantity, then pay the item price plus domestic delivery to the warehouse. Payment options include cards, Apple Pay, Wise, bank transfer, Bitcoin, Alipay and WeChat Pay; Wise and bank transfers carry the lowest fees, while card and Apple Pay top-ups add roughly 3.94%. There is no basic purchasing-agent fee, and loyalty points can be redeemed at 100 points = 1 CNY toward shipping discounts of up to about 10%.

  3. Step 3 — Inspection, storage and extras

Once your items reach the warehouse, Superbuy provides three free QC photos and 90 days of free storage. During that window you can keep ordering and hold everything for one combined shipment. Paid extras include extra photos, detailed inspection, video, live try-on, removing shoe boxes or tags, trimming loose threads and power-on testing for electronics. Choose carefully: removing boxes or tags or testing electronics makes an item non-returnable.

  4. Step 4 — Consolidate and ship out

Select the items to ship, compare the available routes and submit one parcel. Shipping is prepaid as a deposit based on estimated weight, and any difference is refunded to your Superbuy account once the packed parcel is weighed. Costs are driven by volume and actual weight, so small add-ons such as socks, underwear or phone cases usually ride along at no extra shipping cost.

Shopping-agent guide

The Superbuy Spreadsheet is a product-search tool built to work alongside Superbuy. It is aimed at overseas buyers who want to find and compare items from Chinese marketplaces quickly, without running the same manual searches over and over. Core features: - Product search and filtering: enter a keyword to pull up a large volume of listings, then narrow by category or price range. - Product information in one view: links, images, prices and store details are laid out in a table so items can be compared side by side. - Direct import to Superbuy: copy the link of an item you like and paste it into Superbuy to start a purchasing order, moving straight from discovery to procurement. How to use it: 1. Open the Superbuy Spreadsheet tool and enter keywords for what you want. 2. Use the filters to adjust price range and category, then browse the returned list. 3. Compare the details, pick your targets and copy their product links. 4. Paste the links into Superbuy, submit the purchasing order and let the platform handle inspection, storage and consolidated shipping. Remember that the spreadsheet is only a discovery layer: the order itself, the inspection and the parcel are all handled inside your Superbuy account.

Frequently asked

Does Superbuy charge a purchasing service fee?

No. Superbuy waives the basic purchasing-agent fee for registered members for life, which is its headline advantage. Separate charges still exist for optional warehouse services, return requests after the first one each month, and second-hand platform orders, which carry a 20 RMB service fee per order.

How long does Superbuy store items, and what does inspection cover?

Storage is free for 90 days from arrival, extendable at roughly $1.61 per item per month up to about 180 days, after which items may be treated as abandoned. The free inspection covers appearance, such as style, colour, size and model, with three QC photos; detailed inspection and electronics testing cost extra.

Can I still return an item after choosing extra services?

Not always. Once you approve shoe-box removal, tag removal or power-on testing, the item can no longer be returned or exchanged. Returns and exchanges are free once per month and charged per item afterwards, and second-hand platform purchases are non-returnable by default.
