About AllChinaBuy Tips
AllChinaBuy Tips is an editorial review team based in Guangzhou, China. We were founded in 2021 by Marcus Lin, a former sourcing agent who wanted to bring transparent, hands-on testing to the world of shopping agents. Our team orders products from Taobao, Weidian, and 1688 through AllChinaBuy, then tests them for quality, fit, and value.
Our small newsroom includes three full-time editors: Marcus Lin (Editor-in-Chief), Nina Alvarez (Reviews Editor), and Ethan Cole (Research Editor). Together we have over 20 years of combined experience covering cross-border e-commerce and consumer goods.
We buy everything we review. No free samples, no sponsored posts. Our testing lab in Guangzhou is where we unpack, measure, and photograph every item. We also track shipping times, agent response rates, and packaging quality.

Each review is checked for at least three photographs, a measurement table and notes on agent communication, retaining material on both the product and the service process. Marcus also performs spot checks on shipping lines and fee calculations, bringing score review and checks of transport and charges into the editorial work.

Nina Alvarez is Reviews Editor at AllChinaBuy Tips, personally testing every apparel item for fit, fabric and stitching. Nina also manages the electronics testing bench, with coverage extending to apparel, electronics and home goods bought through shopping agents. Clothing follows a ten-point fit check that includes shoulder width, sleeve length and waist measurement, while electronics undergo a 48-hour battery test and a drop test. All findings enter the shared log, retaining the measurements and checks performed across the different product categories.

Ethan Cole is Research Editor at AllChinaBuy Tips, tracking shipping rates, agent fees and delivery times across lines and building the comparison tables. Test parcels are ordered through different shipping lines every quarter, providing actual orders for the line research. Each test records cost, transit time and customs handling, keeping the charges and delivery process as distinct parts of the material. Ethan also monitors AllChinaBuy fee changes and updates the guides accordingly, using the quarterly parcel tests and ongoing fee tracking in comparisons and guide revisions.
