- Buyer reports say these Rhude tees run oversized and boxy, so sizing down is the common move. The listing claims pure cotton at 250–300 gsm in S–XL; independent fabric evidence is thin, so treat the comfort functions as unverified.

- What works

- Who it suits
- Anyone who wants a wide, boxy cotton tee with graphic prints and is comfortable ordering a size down. Best for shoppers who confirm chest and length measurements with their agent first.
- Who should look elsewhere
- Shoppers who need independently verified fabric performance before buying, or who want a slim, true-to-size tee. A wide body with a short hem will defeat a fitted look.

There is a particular kind of tee that shows up cheap, photographs well and then argues with you about fit. The Rhude "Dark" Series T-Shirt Collection looked like one of those on paper, so we ordered it and put it through the same clothing fit check we apply to every top that reaches our test bench.
Ordering, price and first impressions
We ordered through a shopping agent at a listed $8.36, reduced from $9.53, on SKU 7715824187. Sizes run S, M, L and XL, the listing shows the item as in stock, and the only silhouette named is a relaxed, short-sleeve cut with print graphics. Our parcel arrived folded inside the consolidated shipping bag with no retail tags or hang cards.
Out of the bag, the cotton reads smooth and a little dry rather than brushed-soft, and the print sits flat on the surface with a light plastisol hand. Nothing smelled of solvent, and neither the collar nor the shoulder seams were twisted.
Fit check: our 10-point measurement pass
Our standard fit check covers shoulder width, sleeve length from the shoulder seam, pit-to-pit chest, waist and hem width, body length, collar opening, armhole drop, seam alignment, hem straightness and print placement. We measured a size M flat, then wore the tee across several days to see how the numbers translated on a body.
| Checkpoint (size M, flat) | Our reading | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Shoulder width | 51 cm | Drops well past a natural 44 cm shoulder, which is where the oversized feel starts |
| Sleeve length from shoulder | 22 cm | Short, ending above mid-bicep and keeping the arm opening roomy |
| Pit-to-pit chest | 58 cm | Roughly 8 to 10 cm wider than a standard size M tee |
| Hem width | 57 cm | Almost no taper; the body stays wide all the way down |
| Body length | 68 cm | Short relative to that width, which is the "boxy but cropped-feeling" pattern buyers describe |
Two of those numbers matter more than the rest. The chest is genuinely large, so the shirt hangs instead of hugging. The length does not scale up with it, so if you are tall or want your tee to clear a belt line, the proportions work against you.
Fabric, weight and the comfort claims
The listing specifies pure cotton as the main fabric, a 250 to 300 gsm weight range, a no-iron finish, and additional breathability, antibacterial and cooling-touch functions. Our mid-weight read is consistent with the stated gram range: the fabric is opaque in a single layer under daylight, it does not cling in humid weather, and it held its shape through two cold washes by our team.
The comfort functions are the part we cannot back with our own data. Antibacterial performance needs lab culture work and cooling-touch needs standardised thermal testing; a week of wear will not prove either one. We treat them as catalog claims, not measured results. There is also a separate quality caveat worth weighing. A reviewer of Rhude pieces on Instagram said:
"Last time I reviewed Rhude, the fabric was definitely a lot worse. What troubles me is a brand of this caliber and price point that also..."
That comment concerns Rhude garments generally rather than this listing, and it is a single opinion. We note it because it is the only independent fabric judgment we found, and it cuts against the flattering catalog language.
Prints across the "Dark" series
The collection spreads across cartoon motifs, mountain scenes and racing-inspired artwork, with the graphic centered on the chest and the rest of the shirt left plain. On our unit the print edges came through two cold washes intact, with no cracking across the chest area and only a slight stiffening of the ink film. Coverage is moderate rather than full-front, so the print does not add meaningful weight to the front panel.
Sizing: why the reports conflict
Buyer reporting pulls in two directions at once, and both strands showed up in our measurements. On overall volume, the consistent message is to go down:
"Rhude fits really big in t shirts. I ended up having to get a size small in Rhude."
On proportions, the complaint is the opposite problem:
"Normally I wear medium, but that size was too small on the bottom."
Read together, the guidance is straightforward: size down for the body, but check chest and length measurements against your own numbers before you commit. Some shoppers who normally take a Large report landing on a Small, and some Medium wearers find the hem too short even though the body is wide. Our size M numbers above give you a baseline — ask your agent for the same five measurements in the size you intend to buy.
Care notes and open questions
The no-iron finish means the tee recovers from a hanger without much help, but we washed cold, inside out, and dried on low to keep the print and the finish from breaking down early.
Two things stay open after testing. The listing does not publish a full measurement chart, so sizing decisions still depend on what your agent measures in hand. And nothing in the record suggests a listing-specific defect: the sizing reports and the fabric criticism describe Rhude tees generally rather than this one. At $8.36, that is a reasonable risk on a wide, graphic cotton tee — as long as you buy it knowing the fit is the whole story.

How we tested
We ordered the tee through an agent, then ran our 10-point clothing fit check: shoulder width, sleeve length, pit-to-pit and hem measurements on a flat lay, plus repeated wear and two cold washes. Battery and drop tests do not apply here. Antibacterial and cooling-touch functions remain unverified against the listing's claims.

How do these Rhude tees fit?
Buyer reports describe an oversized, boxy cut, and many recommend sizing down, with some Large wearers choosing Small. Others note the wide body still comes with a shorter hem, so confirm chest and length measurements with your agent first.
Is the cotton weight and no-iron finish verified?
No. Pure cotton, the 250–300 gsm range and the no-iron, antibacterial and cooling-touch claims all come from the listing. The only independent quality comment we found criticizes Rhude fabric on a different release.
What sizes and materials does the listing state?
S, M, L and XL in pure cotton, described as a loose printed graphic tee with short sleeves and ordinary thickness. The listed price is $8.36, reduced from $9.53, and the item is marked in stock.
